A unique atmosphere...
In this house, built in the early XVII th century, and one of the oldest preserved buildings inside the Walls of Saint-Malo (Intra-Muros, as we say), you will find :
• The Lounge, where our team will give you help and advice about your stay and your leisure. Free Wi-Fi access is available in the lobby for our guests.
• The Cellar, Where you will have your breakfast under wooden beams and stoned vaults.
• The 10 rooms of the "Ship Owner" range.
the City, formerly all located inside the walls built since the XII th Century, has been destroyed a first time in 1661 by a huge fire that burnt nearly all the houses, except Hotel Elizabeth which was built in 1600.
At the end of world war II, in 1944, the city was destroyed once again. The castle and the walls stayed standing, so was Hotel Elizabeth, but more than 80% of the City disapeared.
On these ruins, was realized the "Great Rebuilding", using the originals drawings and shapes of the City, so you can today admire the City nearly like it was originally.
For more than four centuries, Hotel Elizabeth has been the witness of these historical moments, it is one of the very rare originals City buildings...
